Notice Regarding Bank Certification Requirement

Effective January 1, 2012, all partial accountings filed with this Court will require a Bank Certification to verify assets remaining for all bank accounts. In the past we have taken either an original bank statement or a bank certification. With the rise of online banking, bank statements are now available online instead of being mailed, which is causing a problem with attorneys printing the "original" bank statement from their printer and providing that to the Court to verify assets remaining. This does not suffice as an original statement. Our Court website form bank provides a bank certification form that may be used by the attorney and taken to the bank for a teller to sign or the attorney may obtain a printout from the bank and have the teller certify it, either one will suffice.
